DAN O2 Provider
The DAN (Divers Alert Network) Oxygen First Aid for SCUBA Diving Injuries course is designed to educate divers about diving injuries and to train them to use oxygen while providing other assistance. Specific sections of knowledge and skills development include general diving anatomy, recognition of specified diving emergencies, oxygen's effects on the body, scene safety assessment, rescue breathing, and oxygen equipment identification and familiarization.
Course fees are $50.00 for DAN members and include four hours of instruction, student workbook, non-rebreather mask, certificate, and card.
Prerequisites: DAN membership; first aid & CPR
Minimum age: 12 years
Must be renewed every two years.
