John Appelboom - President/Owner
John has been diving for over 40 years and has been teaching SCUBA for the past 33 years. From 1977-1978 he was a Cayman dive operator. Since returning to Polk County he has certified generations of divers.

Ken Hill
Ken has been a diver since he was thirteen and a cave diver since 1996 when he was transferred to Lakeland, Florida. He retired in 1997 after 30 years of service to the United States and now dedicates his time by teaching SCUBA and doing volunteer work for non profit cave diving organizations. He is an Instructor Trainer and teaches technical and cave diving for IANTD. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Speleological Society-Cave Diving Section, and also teaches for the NACD, YMCA and NAUI. He currently serves as an internal advisor to Florida State University's Advanced Scientific Diving Program and the Underwater Crime Scene Investigations Unit.

 

 


John McGrath
During the day, John works as a Fire safety inspector for the City of Lakeland. In the evenings, he is an Open Water SCUBA diving instructor. The experience John gained during his 15 years as a fire fighter and EMT has helped make him a very calm and able instructor.

Andy Vinzant
Andy is a college student and is currently helping out in the shop part time. The majority of his diving is in the springs of north Florida but he also enjoys wreck diving. Andy is also the web master, so if you have anything you think needs changed, email him.

Danny Kale
Danny Kale started teaching elementary school after 14 years in the Air Force. He presently teaches third grade at North Lakeland Elementary School. Danny is a certified cave diver and also a fully certified instructor.

Darren Monk

Darren Monk is eighteen years old and has been diving since he was twelve years old. Most of his diving is done in open water while spearfishing or lobstering. He also enjoys springs and sinks.


Luke Burel

Luke has been an avid diver since receiving his Open water Certification at Deep six Divers. He decided to work toward the professional side of diving shortly after. He is now a Certified instructor through YMCA and IANTD.
