Public Safety Diver
This course is designed to train divers to operate in waters of limited visibility while employing structured methods in the retrieval of submerged evidence from a maximum depth of 100 fsw and the potential use of this evidence in a court room.

What is included:

- The host agency will be responsible for coordinating a vehicle to be placed in the water to facilitate recoveries.
- Certification card and digital certification card
Prerequisites:
- Certified Rescue Diver or higher
- Must be assigned to a Public Safety Team, i.e. Police or Fire Department.
- Volunteer members must have a letter from the team commander or equivalent endorsing their ability to attend.
- If the environmet or training involves Dry Suit and or Full Face Mask:
- IANTD Drysuit Diver (as required for contaminated water diving) or equivalent
- IANTD Full Face Mask (as required for communication) or equivalent
